SKIS Student Delegates Shine at THIMUN Singapore 2026: Cultivating Diplomacy and Global Leadership

From October 27 to 30, 2026, nine student representatives from Singapore Korean International School (SKIS) participated in The Hague International Model United Nations (THIMUN) Singapore conference, held at the International French School (IFS). Joining student delegates from across the globe, our representatives stepped into the roles of international diplomats to deliberate, negotiate, and debate critical global issues.

Though our delegates initially faced the challenge of adjusting to the formal committee atmosphere, their confidence rapidly grew. As the conference progressed, SKIS students fully immersed themselves in the parliamentary proceedings—articulating arguments, collaborating with international peers, and actively contributing across 13 specialized committees, including ECOSOC, the Human Rights Council, the Youth & Health Committee, and the Special Conference on Culture & Heritage.

The core of the THIMUN experience centers on resolution-building. Each student delegate represented an assigned nation’s official stance—drafting comprehensive resolution clauses, defending policy positions during debate, and navigating formal voting procedures. Through this rigorous diplomatic process, our students expanded their worldview, honed their critical thinking skills, and took meaningful strides as empowered global citizens.

We commend our nine student delegates for their dedication, resilience, and exemplary representation of SKIS on the international stage.
